Front : Excel rim (21 x 1.85) with Metzeler MCE Karoo 2 ( 90/90 )
Back : Excel rim (18 x 2.50 ) with MEFO M+S MFC11 Stonemaster ( 140/80 )

Next thing: try them. Perhaps this weekend ? Somebody wants to join me ?

Hi Advi,

I got them from the Brussels KTM dealer, who ordered them in Holland. I think the Benelux and also part of Germany (Sommer) all order from the same Excel supplier in Holland. Prices should be between 150 and 200 plus VAT. Also add something like 2-3 hours of extra workhours to switch the hubs to the new wheels. This might seem long (thus expensive), but bear in mind that it's holes are centered for the Excel wheel, which is different than the standard rims where the holes are out of the center. My dealer also charged some time to KTM for the switching of the rusty nipples. I also got the enduro tires mounted with extra-thick cross inner tubes since I will run with low pressure.

By the way: a small test drive confirmed how much better it's OFF-ROAD.
ON-road is a different story: the back tire is not very easy to turn with. But that is the same for all off-road tires. I expect to have a better handling in 500 KM or so.

1. The Excel wheels are made of stronger aluminium: the original rims are not wery strong. Just take a look at the posts in the US AdvRider forum, search for FLINTSTONE and you will understand.

2. The width of the back wheel rim can be used with any brand of tires (width 140).

3. The Excel rims are in black color which is nicer to my eyes than the standard grey rims.
