Hi Sascha

First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your business and support. It has been very gratifying to receive a great amount of positive feedback in terms of both our products and our customer support. This has been very rewarding and I greatly appreciate it.

Upon further testing of the 950SE skid plate, we have determined it is important to regularly inspect the mounting of the skid plate. Simply give the skid plate a hardy wiggle û there should be some movement as the rubber bushings in the plate and oil tank flex, but if it moves freely, please inspect the following two areas:

1. the rubber grommets on the three bolts that attach the oil tank to the small, vertical sub-frame of the 950SE (KTM Part# 60003098000)
2. The rubber grommets on the four mounting bolts of the skid plate (KTM Part# 60003098000)

If any of these grommets show signs of wear, they should be replaced. If the grommets are in good condition and the skid plate movement is excessive, it may be necessary to use some standard 7/16ö washers in order to tighten the skid plate. Washers can be used on both the inside and the outside of the rear mounting holes to help tighten the skid plate, as well as the outside of the grommets on the front mounting bolts. This will help eliminate movement of the skid plate while riding, which will help reduce the wear on the oil tank grommets.

Because the radiator is mounted directly to the top of the oil tank, if the grommets that attach the oil tank to the sub-frame wear out, this may allow movement of the oil tank, which may result in damage to the radiator mounts.

If you need to replace the rubber grommets on the oil tank, they are available through any KTM dealership (part# 60003098000). If you need to replace the rubber grommets used to mount the skid plate, the first set of replacements are available free of charge from me for a small shipping charge or they are available through any KTM dealership (part# 60003098000). Also, the 7/16ö washers should be available at any hardware store or I can supply them if need be.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Thank you again and enjoy the holidays.
Kurt
