OK Leute,
Ein grosses Problem.
Diesen Post habe ich gemacht auf adv-rider.
OK guys,
Need some quick advice. After a ride yesterday on my 950 I noticed that my coolant level dropped about half an inch. Thought it was because I didn't bleed the cooling system properly after a recent flush. Now I am leaving for Morocco in less than a week, so today I wanted to do a quick oilchange. Filter was waved!!!! NOOOOO!
Took the waterpump cover and clutch cover off. Now I noticed that the crankcase bolt that sits in the waterpump housing does not have a copper ring. Isn't there supposed to be a washer to keep the water out of the oil?
I also noticed that there is a little play on the impeller shaft when I jiggle it a bit left/right. Is this normal? Aren't the bearing supposed to prevent this play?
Please guys... Need some advice fast.
Will have all parts required by thursday and want to leave on friday for my 5000 miles trip.
Did all the other stuff (valves, carbs, brakes, ...) about 1000 miles ago. This must be the last obstacle to tackle.
Wissen Sie wass es sein könnte?
MfG,
Nix

Hi Nix,
To avoid further trouble in Marocco I would suugest to change the waterpump asap as its going to be pretty dam hot down there.
Attached picture with part numbers for the 950.
After refill with cooling liquid put the front wheel on the workbench and start bleeding and toping up. This might take a while until all airbubbles have come out.
Hope this helps.

Thanx for all the advice. Master slave from the clutch is OK. Changed that last year and keep another one under the seat all the time.
Hopefully I get all the parts on wednesday, so I can leave for Morocco on friday.
Cheers
